What does The Heart of the Ocean show….?
– The magical adventure of 12 year old girl VANIRA, who disappears into a vortex of fishes during a boat accident on the Great Barrier Reef with her adopted younger Aboriginal brother JOEY. In the underwater world an old Seal guides her in search for JOEY and she discovers that she was chosen by The Great One to turn the fate of ocean life and to find her little brother she needs to save the Barrier Reef from the looming doom of destruction fueled by the greedy fishing corporate BANKSTA. Vanira needs to find The Heart of the Ocean.
She gets involved in an amazing, wonderful, exciting, thrilling and revealing journey, guided and accompanied by SILLY, the old seal, the whales and other underwater friends (3-D animated), who together conquer the man-made dangers in the world oceans in the quest of finding the Heart of the Oceans.
– Reality style filmed | CGI– surreal underwater world
– Aboriginal cultural ways, Dream Time Stories and art from the N.E of Australia involving the underwater world.
– Natural images delicately edited with transparencies and multi–layers of pictures which have parallel significance with and refer to; locations, culture, tradition, nature and connection with people, with an underlying Aboriginal Dream story..
– The dreamlike and fantastic appearance of the underwater world, focusing on spectacular details merging with and flowing into special effects sequences to accentuate the psychedelic and magical character of the world under the waves.
– For educational purposes it shows the underwater-life of Australia, with its art-like qualities and unsurpassed beauty. Zooming in on the ocean’s vulnerable creatures, resulting in an automatic respect for this fragile life.
– Cultural integration and unification (challenges that are addressed)
Seeing the movie is like watching an enchanting dance of images; flamboyant colours, magical patterns, intricate textures and silky movements spark off your emotions and take you on a voyage that expresses playfully the respect for our world and therefore for ourselves..
Leaving all space for the imagination of the viewer, accompanied by music of today creating an interlaced rhythm with the picture, (voice-over for education).
The special effects are related to Aboriginal Dream Time painting and the (sacred) geometry of what is shown and may invoke an immediate connection with our natural recognition of the essence of life.
Production of projects in Australia because of Aboriginal and Barrier Reef content and compatible production studios.
